8. Hold the backrest plate over the four fastening
bolts and press it down to its end position.
9. Insert the storage battery in the battery com-
partment (figure).

Note: If the bathtub wall on the side of the
backrest is vertical and, consequently, there
is a risk that the backrest is pushed against
it, the lift must be installed outside the bathtub
and driven to its upper position before it is
placed into the bathtub again. However, it
may be possible that the backrest can no lon-
ger be tilted back during the bath, because
the distance between the backrest and bath-
tub wall is too close.
Due to the special arrangement of the fastening
points for the backrest, the backrest cannot be
placed-on incorrectly.
