Obstructions:
Every obst acle that int erferes t he movement of t he w ind is af f ect ing both it s direct ion and
speed. The most common obst ruct ions are houses and t rees. It is generally recommended
t o install the t ow er 10 met ers above any obst ruct ion and w ith a distance t w ice t he height
of the obst ruct ion.
For example, if you have a house 5 met ers tall and a t ree 7 met ers near w here you w ant to
inst all your ENAIR, it should be allocat ed to 17 met ers above ground (7 m t he highest
obst acle + 10 m) 10 meters f rom t he house (5 x 2) and 14 meters f rom the tr ee (7 x 2).
Buildings:
On buildings, before placing a w ind turbine, ensure t hat t he st ruct ure of the building can
w it hst and the w ind t urbines w eight and st resses during it s operat ion.
The w ind turbine should be placed about 3 meters back f rom t he facade of t he building,
and about 2-3 met ers above t he highest point . Consider also t he surrounding buildings and
the “ w ind rose”
