4.5 Tools

4.5.1 Firmware Upgrade

Enter loader mode to upgrade firmware. After entering loader mode, You can through file upload or tftp to

upgrade the System Firmware.

4.5.2 Configuration Backup

The EMS5-8MA-SWITCH enables the user to get a back-up of the configuration file. This will help the user to

install many same series switches with the same configurations.

Backup

settings:

Click the

“

Backup

” button and a download window for “

switch_cfg.bin

” will appear. Save the file in a safe

location for later retrieval.

Restore

settings:

Click “Browse” button to select the downloaded/backed-up configuration file, and then press the “

Restore

”

button. The Switch will restart and apply the settings as in the configuration file.
