Base Menu Function 5: Telephone Answering Machine (TAM) setup
The Answer Machine (TAM) can record messages from incoming callers or voice memos (notes) directly at the
base. Each message and memo can be up to 2 minutes long, and the total recording time available for all
messages / memos is 60 minutes.
Press MENU key, then press

/CID or
▼/OUT
key to select TAM . Then press MENU key to confirm and enter.

MESSAGE will be displayed
Press MENU key, then again press MENU to enter and to listen to messages.

DELETE ALL
Press
▼/OUT
key to DELETE ALL item, then press MENU to enter, the display will show CONFIRM? , you can
press MENU
to confirm and you will hear ”All messages deleted”.
Note: You cannot delete New Messages, so you will have to start to play them before trying to delete them.

MEMO
This allows users to record a memo (like a voice note) of up to 120 seconds.
1) Press
▼/OUT
key to MEMO item, then press MENU to enter, the display still show MEMO and
you will hear “Please record memo after the beep”. Then the display will show
RECORD and the
current recording time.
2) Press to end memo recording.

ANSWER MACHINE (TAM) SETTINGS

key to select TAM SETTINGS .

To turn the Answer Machine (TAM) ON/OFF
Press MENU key to show TAM ON/OFF , then press MENU , the LCD display ON or OFF , press

to
select OFF or ON , and press MENU to confirm. If you have selected ON , the display shows OGM1 , press
▼/OUT
key to select OGM2 or OGM1 , then press MENU to confirm your selection.
Alternatively you can also use the shortcut and press and hold for 2 seconds to turn ON/OFF

To select or set a personal OUT GOING MESSAGE (OGM)
Press
▼/OUT
key to select SET OGM item, then press MENU to enter, choosing OGM1 or OGM2 by
pressing
▲
/CID or
▼/OUT
key, press MENU , then press
▼/OUT
to select PLAY , RECORD , DEFAULT ,
press MENU key to confirm.
To playback the current OGM
When the LCD displays PLAY , press MENU to select it and to play the OGM
There are two (2) pre-set announcements as for OGM1 and OGM2. These are set as follows:
OGM1
“Sorry we cannot answer your call now, please leave your message after the beep”
