Make the electrical connections to the numbered
terminals as shown in the wiring diagram above and
as follows:
- 2: Live feed.
- 3: Switched live to heating or cooling load (see also
’Heating / Cooling selection’ inside).
- 4 and 5: telephone interface (optional) for remote
control of the programmable thermostat.
- 6 and 7: remote sensor (optional).
When the symbol appears in the display, the two
1.5V AA alkaline batteries must be replaced.
Please make sure you have two new batteries ready
before replacement as you have 2 minutes to change
them which will ensure that the programmes you have
set will be retained, as follows:

1. Open the front flap (see Fig. 2) and remove the old
batteries with a small tool.
2. Replace the batteries as shown in Fig. 2, ensuring
the + sign on each battery is facing the right way
and close the flap.
