Windows 98: Right-click 'Network neighbourhood' on your desktop.

Windows ME: Right-click 'My network places' on your desktop.

Choose 'Properties'.

Select 'TCP/IP'.

Click 'Properties'.

Select 'Obtain an IP Address automatically'.

Click the 'WINS configuration' tab.

Select 'Disable WINS resolution'.
9.
Click the 'DNS configuration' tab.
10. Click 'Disable DNS'.
