Installation procedures

3.5.1

Mount the transmitter

For dimensional drawing information refer to the

Dimensional Drawings

section of the

Product Data Sheet

Process flange orientation

Complete the following steps to mount the process flanges.

Procedure

1. Mount the process flanges with sufficient clearance for process connections.
2. For safety reasons, place the drain/vent valves so the process fluid is directed away

from possible human contact when the vents are used.
In addition, consider the need for a testing or calibration input.

Note

Most transmitters are calibrated in the horizontal position. Mounting the
transmitter in any other position will shift the zero point to the equivalent amount
of liquid head pressure caused by the varied mounting position. To reset zero point,
refer to

Sensor trim overview

Housing rotation

To improve field access to wiring or to better view the optional LCD display:

Procedure

1. Loosen the housing rotation set screw using a 5/64-in. hex wrench.
2. Turn the housing left or right up to a maximum of 180 ° from its original position.

3. Re-tighten the housing rotation set screw to a maximum of 7 in-lb when desired

location is reached.

Note

Over-rotating will damage the transmitter.
