DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS
1.1 GENERAL.
The Model 226 Toroidal Conductivity
Sensor greatly reduces the adverse effects of coating
and chemical attack associated with exposed elec-
trodes used in conventional conductivity measurement.
This sensor is available in highly cor ro sion-resistant
PEEK (polyetheretherketone).
PEEK is not recommended for greater than 50% con-
centrations (at 25°C, 77°F) of H
2
SO
4
, HNO
3
, and
H
3
PO
4
. PEEK is not recommended for HF at all.
The Model 226 features rigid construction that will
stand up to high vibration applications such as oil well
drilling and mud shaker trays. A single piece 304SS
tube supports the toroid coils and reinforces the
threaded mounting shaft. This subassembly is then
molded in chemically resistant plastic. There are no
seams or welds that can crack and cause leakage
and subsequent failure.
