Basic Setup

WARNING

Changes to the instrument setup may
cause changes in the output pressure
or valve travel. Depending on the
application, these changes may upset
process control, which may result in
personal injury or property damage.

When the DVC2000 digital valve controller is ordered
as part of a control valve assembly, the factory mounts
the digital valve controller and sets up the instrument
as specified on the order. When mounting to a valve in
the field, the instrument needs to be set up to match
the instrument to the valve and actuator. Table 3-2
provides the actuator information required to setup and
calibrate the instrument.

Before beginning basic setup, be sure the instrument
is correctly mounted and powered electrically and
pneumatically, as described in the Installation section,
Section 2.

Selecting the Language

The DVC2000 is supplied with one of three different
language packs preinstalled, depending on the
firmware revision and the ordering option. See table
3-1 for language pack options.

Only firmware revision 3 or later will allow you to
download different language packs to the DVC2000
using ValveLink Software.

To access the language selection screen, press the
four arrow keys simultaneously for three (3) seconds.

Use the UP or DOWN (

or

) arrow keys to select

the appropriate language. Press the RIGHT (

) arrow

key to confirm your selection.
