DESCRIPTION
Series 8323G0XX, and 8323G3XX are 3-way redundant dual
solenoid-operated pilot valves designed for instrument air
service. Valves are normally closed or normally open depending
upon requirements.
Series 8323G0XX valves are supplied with a general purpose or
a explosionproof/watertight solenoid enclosures.
Series 8323G3XX valves are provided with low power general
purpose solenoid enclosures.

(Operation vs Catalog Number)
Operation
Catalog Number / Construction
Normally Closed
(See Note)
8323G051 / Brass
8323G052 / Stainless Steel
8232G351 / Brass

NOTE: Normally closed pilot valves are used on ASCO no-
voltage release manual reset valves; normally open pilot valves
are used on trip shut-off manual-reset valves.
OPERATION
Normally Closed (Pressure at Port 3)
Both Solenoids De-energized
: Flow is from Port 1 to Pilot
Exhaust.
Either or Both Solenoids Energized
: Flow is from Port 3 to
Port 1.
Normally Open (Pressure at Solenoid Pilot)
Both Solenoids De-energized
: Flow is from Pilot Press to Port
1.
Either or Both Solenoids Energized
: Flow is from Port 1 to
Port 3.
INSTALLATION
Check nameplate for correct catalog number, pressure, voltage,
frequency, and service. Never apply incompatible fluids or
exceed pressure rating of the valve. Installation and valve
maintenance to be performed by qualified personnel.
Future Service Considerations
Provision should be made for performing seat leakage, external
leakage, and operational tests on the valve with a non-hazardous,
non-combustible fluid after disassembly and reassembly.
Temperature Limitations
For valve fluid and ambient temperature ranges, refer to chart
below. Check catalog number on nameplate.
