Product Administration
Another feature of the Connectrix Manager is the ability to
administer the products managed through the Connectrix Manager.
Information entered into dialog boxes provides the Connectrix
service processor with information to communicate with the Fibre
Channel connectivity products over the LAN.
Adding a Product
To identify a product to the management software and add its icon to
the Product View, follow these steps:
1. Move the cursor over a blank area of the Product View and click
the right mouse button, then click New on the pop-up menu. This
displays the following dialog box (Figure 2-15).
You can also perform this step by moving the cursor over the Configure
icon in the navigation control panel and selecting New product from the
pop-up menu.

2. Enter a valid IP address or Domain Name Service host name in
the Network Address field. A valid IP address is in the form
nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn
, where nnn is a decimal in the range 0 through
255 .
3. Click the arrow beside the Product Type list box to display a list
of products and select the product type that you are adding.
4. Click OK.
