Caring for the dishwasher
Frost precautions
1. If the dishwasher is likely to be exposed to frost please
take the following precautions in winter. After each
washing cycle, do as follows:
2.
Turn off the power to the dishwasher at the power
socket.
3.
Turn off the water supply and disconnect the water inlet
hose from the water valve.
4. Drain the water from the inlet hose and water valve.
(Use a pan to collect the water.)
5. Reconnect the water inlet hose to the water valve.
6.
Remove the filter from inside the base of the
dishwasher and use a sponge to soak up the water in
the sump.
After every wash
After every wash, turn off the water supply to the appliance
and leave the door slightly open so that moisture and
odours are not trapped inside.
Unplug the dishwasher
Before cleaning or carrying out maintenance, always unplug
the dishwasher from the power socket.
No solvents or abrasive cleaning
Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning products to clean
the exterior and rubber parts of the dishwasher. Just use a
cloth moistened with warm soapy water.
To remove spots or stains from the interior surface, use a
cloth dampened with water and a little vinegar, or a cleaning
product made specifically for dishwashers.
If the dishwasher will not be used for a long time
It is recommend that you run a wash cycle with the
dishwasher empty and then unplug the power cord from
the socket, turn off the water supply and leave the door of
the appliance slightly open. This will help the door seals
to last longer and prevent odours from forming within the
appliance.
Moving the appliance
If the appliance must be moved, try to keep it in the vertical
position. If absolutely necessary, it can be laid on its back.
Seals
One of the factors that cause odours to form in the
dishwasher is food that remains trapped in the seals.
Periodic cleaning with a damp sponge will prevent this from
occurring.
WARNING
Electrical shock hazard
Disconnect the electrical supply before
installing the dishwasher.
Failure to do so could result in death or
electrical shock.
Attention
Hoses and electrical equipment should be installed by
professionals.
About connecting to the electrical
supply
WARNING
For personal safety:
• Do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug with this appliance.
• Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the earthing connection
from the power cord.
Electrical requirements
Please look at the rating label to check the voltage rating
and connect the dishwasher to the appropriate power
supply. Use the recommended fuse (10A/13A/16A), time
delay fuse or circuit breaker, and connect to a separate
circuit that only serves this appliance.
Installation instructions
Electrical connection
Ensure that the voltage and frequency of the electrical
supply match those on the rating plate. Only insert the plug
into a power socket that is correctly earthed. If the electrical
socket to which the appliance must be connected is not
appropriate for the plug, replace the socket, rather than
using adapters or the like, as they could cause overheating
and fires.
Ensure the dishwasher is correctly earthed before
use
Water supply and drain
Cold water connection
Connect the cold water supply hose to a threaded 3/4 inch
connector and make sure that it is fastened tightly in place.
If the water pipes are new or have not been used for
an extended period of time, let the water run for a while
and make sure that the water is clear. This precaution is
necessary to avoid the risk of the water inlet becoming
blocked and damaging the appliance.
