CAUTION!
• Only use salt specifically intended for dishwasher use. Any other type of salt, especially table salt, will
damage the water softener.
• Only fill with salt immediately before running a cycle. Salt or salty water that is spilled and left on the
bottom of the machine for some time may cause corrosion. If salt is spilled, run the Rapid programme to
remove the spill.
• If you are using a powder detergent that is phosphate-free it is recommended to add salt to the water
softener even if the water hardness is only 6 dH.
1. Remove the basket.
2. Unscrew the cap.
3. Place the end of the funnel into the hole.
4. Add about 1 kg of dishwasher salt.
5. Remove the funnel from the hole.
6. Fill the salt container to its maximum limit with water. (It is normal for a small amount of water to come out of the salt
container).
NOTE! Only fill the salt container with water the very first time you add salt to the water softener.
7. Screw the cap back on tightly and close the door.
NOTE! is no longer displayed within 2 to 6 days of adding salt to the water softener, depending on how well
the salt dissolves.
8. Immediately start a short washing programme.
CAUTION! After adding salt to the water softener you should immediately start a washing programme.
Otherwise the filter system, pump or other important parts of the machine may be damaged by salty water.
Run an empty load
Make sure that the machine is installed properly.
1. Plug in the power cord.
2. Open the water tap.
3. Start a programme.
NOTE! Do not put any dishes in the machine.
The machine is ready for use when the programme has been completed.
