INTRODUCTION 

The code lock AG40KE11B is designed for use in combina on with the Home Alarm System AG400011. By using 
a 4-digit access code you can turn the alarm system armed, par ally armed and disarmed. In addi on, a panic 
alarm can be ac vated.

INSERTING THE BATTERY

To insert the ba ery, first remove the moun ng plate by unscrewing the

 screw on the bo om of the unit. 

Next, unscrew the two screws of the ba ery plate 

(b) 

on the back of the unit. Then insert the included 9-volt 

ba ery 

(c) 

in the compartment and screw the ba ery plate back on. 

MOUNTING PLATE

Use the moun ng plate you unscrewed in the previous step as a 
template to mark the drill holes on the wall. A er drilling the holes, 
fix the moun ng plate to the wall with the included wall plugs and 
screws. When you have completed configura on, you can place the 
keypad back in the moun ng plate and screw it back in with the 
screw

 on the bo om.

ADDING THE WIRELESS KEYPAD TO THE HOME ALARM SYSTEM AG4000

1.   On the alarm panel, enter the alarm panel’s PIN (1234 by default) +         DISARM to disarm the system.

2.   Enter PIN (1234 by default) + 15 +        PARM to start the binding process. The         DISARM LED will start to  

    blink for 30 seconds with a beep tone. Within 30 seconds, set the remote keypad to enter binding mode by 

    using the tamper switch

 on the back.

3.   If the remote keypad is added successfully, the           DISARM LED will turn on for 1 second along with a long 

    beep sound. If the binding process fails, it will  meout a er 30 seconds and 3 short beeps will be heard. To 

    exit the binding process, press the           DISARM key on the alarm panel.

CHANGING THE ACCESS CODE

For security, it is highly recommended that you change the standard PIN (1234) to a four-digit PIN of your own 
choosing. The system can support one master user code, and five user access codes. 

*   To set a new master access code take the following steps

1.  Press                followed by the standard PIN (1234) and again              . 

    The               LED will now light up and flash three  mes.

2.  Choose a new four-digit PIN and enter this now, followed by               .  The               LED will now light up and  

    flash four  mes to confirm. The master access code has now been changed.

*   To set user access codes, take the following steps

1.  Press               followed by the master access code you have set in the previous step and then again             . 

    The                LED will now light up and flash three  mes. 

2.  Enter             (for user code 1) followed by                and then the four-digit user access code you wish to set,  

    followed by              . The              LED will now light up and flash four  mes.

3.  To set user access codes 2-5, simply repeat the above steps but replace the               with a number 2-5.

Note: 

The user access codes will only apply to the remote keypad. When opera ng the home alarm system from 

the main alarm panel, you will s ll need to use the PIN you have set for that.

TESTING THE REMOTE KEYPAD

To fully arm the system: Enter [your access code]   followed by             

Par ally arm the system: Enter [your access code]  followed by                or   

   

To disarm the system: Enter [your access code]     followed by  

Your bu on presses will be confirmed by the              ligh ng up. It is important you also confirm the 

transmission of the code once you have finished entering the command by seeing if the            is flashing. When 

first se ng up the system, we recommend you test it near the main alarm panel so that you can confirm the 

keypad successfully transmi ed by seeing the alarm mode change on the alarm panel and hearing a beep tone.

PANIC SIGNAL

The remote keypad allows you to send a panic signal, for instance because you are using the remote keypad 

under duress. To send a panic signal, press and hold the                 and                  at the same  me for at least two 

seconds and un l the           LED is flashing rapidly. 

DISABLING THE REMOTE KEYPAD

If a sequence of more than 16 incorrect key presses is entered, the keypad will be disabled for 1 minute. If the 
keypad is consecu vely disabled 3  mes, the keypad will send a tamper signal to the alarm panel and the       
LED              will flash slowly.

Note: 

When the keypad is disabled for 1 minute, the         LED will flash slowly, indica ng that the Keypad is 

temporarily shut down. During this minute, any key presses will be treated as an invalid input. A er 1 minute 
has elapsed, correct input will be accepted again.
