7.12 Set Preview audio and video

TZ09 connects the selected video and audio inputs to the preview outputs.

The host must send the following sequence:

bXX

     followed by

CR

   where:

b    is the character Hex 62
XX is the video and audio input  (from 01 to 08)

Example:  to set inputs 1 video and audio to preview outputs the following characters

must be sent on line: 62 30 31 0D

The TZ09 matrix replies:

ACK

(Hex 06)    if the command has been performed correctly

NACK

(Hex 15)   if transmission errors have been detected

7.13 Set Volume level

TZ09 can set the audio  preview level.

The host must send the following sequence:

lXX

     followed by

CR

 where:

l     is the character Hex 6C
XX is the desired level      (from 01 to 08)

Example:  to set audio volume to level 3 the following characters must be sent on line:

6C 30 33 0D

The TZ09 matrix replies:

ACK

(Hex 06)    if the command has been performed correctly

NACK

(Hex 15)   if transmission errors have been detected

7.14 Set mute on audio preview

TZ09 can set mute on audio preview level

The host must send the following sequence:

mX

     followed by

CR

 where:

m is  the character Hex 6D
if X  is  0: mute not active
if X  is  1: mute active

Example:  to set mute audio the following characters must be sent on line:6D 31 0D

The TZ09 matrix replies:

ACK

(Hex 06)    if the command has been performed correctly

NACK

(Hex 15)   if transmission errors have been detected

WARNING

In case of multiple commands

wait 150msec through the strings of characters

3.0 SETTINGS

The unit has two types of internal settings:

3.1 Insertion or removing of the 75

 internal termination on the inputs

To perform this operation:

a) Unplug the mains cable from the unit
b) Remove the cover of the unit
c) Position jumpers W1

÷

W8 on the rear circuit board to the ON or OFF position

for each input to be terminated at 75

WARNING

W1 corresponds to input 1, W2 corresponds to input 2,

and so on for the other inputs

d) Replace the cover of the unit
e) Reconnect the mains cable.

WARNING

The 75

must be left inserted internally (jumper ON) when

the loop is not used and there are no external BNC terminations

For use of the loop in input or of external BNC terminations

it’s necessary to set the jumpers in OFF position.

The unit is factory set with jumpers W1

÷

W8 in the ON position

(75

 termination inserted)
