Elo 1725L 17” Touch Screen Monitor Installation and Configuration Guide
Supported Operating Systems
The Elo touch screen monitor can be installed on the following operating systems:

Please review and select the installation instructions that match your operating system.
Cable Installation
There are two cable options (USB and Serial) for the Elo 1725L monitor. Refer to the
Quick Installation Guide
included with the monitor for additional information.
Windows NT4.0 requires an open serial port on the computer to support the monitor. The
Elo supplied serial cable must be installed to connect the monitor to the computer. Please
refer to illustration 3a of the
Quick Installation Guide
. Illustration 3a will also assist in
installing the video, sound, and power cables to the monitor.
Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista require an open USB port on
the computer. The Elo supplied USB cable must be installed to connect the monitor to the
computer. Please refer to illustration 3b of the
Quick Installation Guide
. Illustration 3b
will also assist in installing the video, sound, and power cables to the monitor.
IMPORTANT
: Do not connect the USB cable until directed to do so.
Touch Screen Drivers
A CD labeled
MPS Elo 17”
Touch Screen Monitor Installation
is used to install the
touch screen drivers on Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows Server
2003 systems. The CD autoruns and displays the main menu when inserted into a
CD-ROM drive. Print the Installation Instructions
before
installing the touch screen
drivers.
