Xavier™
SYS_VIN_HV and SYS_VIN_MV are the 12V respective 5V supply voltages of the NVIDIA
®
Xavier™
module. Both are not allowed to be active at all times when the respective supply voltages are
available. Therefore, those voltages are switched on separately via MOSFETs from the BMC.

Due to the additional CLI of the BMC, there is one less available port on the MicroUSB interface
connector, compared to the NVIDIA
®
Xavier™ Developer Kit.
To enable the usage of this additional serial interface of the NVIDIA
®
Xavier™, this port has been
connected to a second serial port of the BMC. The command redirects any inputs and outputs
between the NVIDIA
®
Xavier™ and the BMC interface.
STRG + C ends redirection.
3.3.3
Firmware Update
The BMC includes a UART bootloader, which allows the board being updated via the MicroUSB port.
To update the Firmware of the BMC, the “Microchip Unified Bootloader Host Application” is
required. The application can be downloaded from the Microchip website:

To update the BMC, connect to the BMC CLI. For details about how to connect to the CLI, see
chapter 3.3.2.
Start the board or – if already running – type the command “reset” to reset the board. Stop the
board from running the main application by pressing “x” within 2 seconds after (re-)start.
Disconnect the terminal program from the serial port to make the port available for the update
tool. Start the “Microchip Unified Bootloader Host Application”.
The main window of the bootloader application is shown in Figure 11.
