If you want to change the password,
press ENTER button after selecting
“NEW” in above step 3.

Enter the new password in 4 digits by
using 0 to 9 button.

Select “Confirm column” by pressing
button, and re-enter new password for
confirm.

After selecting “OK”, press ENTER
button. Password change is finished.

Press ENTER button to confirm after
selecting “OK”. A rating level change will
be done.

DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT
• RAW (Bit Stream) : The original audio
stream recorded on the disc is output
through the digital audio out connector.
• LPCM : The decoded audio stream is
outputted through the digital audio out
connector.

ANALOG AUDIO OUTPUT
• 2 CH : Should be selected when you enjoy
conventional 2 channel stereo audio by
connecting the unit's audio output to a
stereo amplifier/receiver or TV, or when you
duplicate audio from a DVD video disc
recorded with surround audio to your MD,
cassette, etc.
• 5.1 CH : You can enjoy multi channel
surround audio by connecting the unit's 5.1
channel audio outputs to an amplifier
equipped with 5.1 channel inputs.
• Front Speaker
Set the front speaker type according to your
speakers, which can fully reproduce the
low-frequency range. If the subwoofer is set
to “No”, you cannot set the front speaker to
“Small”.
• Center & Surround Speaker
Set the center and surround speaker type
according to your speakers.
• Subwoofer
If you use the subwoofer, set to “Yes”. If
you set the subwoofer to “No”, the front
speaker changes to “Large” automatically.
• Distance
In order to supplement Dolby Digital
surround system when it is difficult to find
the right positions for speakers, the time
needed for central output and rear output is
delayed. Adjust the distance between your
position and each speaker using or
button.
• Dynamic Range Compression
(only Dolby Digital DVD)
Signifies the dynamic range of Dolby Digital
sound. Used when it is difficult to hear
dialogues through stereo system or TV.

SPEAKER SETTING
(If “Analog audio output” is not set to “5.1
CH”, this function is not available.)
You can set the speaker type according to
your speakers.
“Small” means a narrow band speaker and
“Large” means a wide band speaker.
