     SATA Configuration

Use this item to show the mode of serial SATA configuration options.

SATA Mode (AHCI)

Use this item to select SATA mode.

Determines how SATA
controller(s) operate.

SATA Port 1~2 & 7~8/M.2 (Not Present)

This motherboard supports four SATA channels (which supported by Intel Z170
Express Chipset) and one M.2 slot, each channel allows one SATA device to be
installed. Use these items to configure each device on the SATA channel.

Spin Up Device (Disabled)

Use this item to enable or disable the spin up device.

External SATA (Disabled)

Use this item to enable or disable the external SATA.
