OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

This unit is a 4 channel DMX intelligent LED unit. It can be run as a stand-alone or in a primary-sec-

ondary configuration. The unit has 3 operating modes: sound active mode, auto mode, and DMX

controlled. This unit has been inspected at the factory for problems and defects. No assembly is

required, and the unit is ready to be plugged in to a power outlet. A fog machine can be used in con-

junction with this device to enhance the display. The instructions below explain the operation of each

mode in detail.

Auto Run Mode:

1. Plug the fixture in and press the MODE button until “AU.XX” is displayed. “XX” represents the cur-

rently selected running speed.

2. Press ENTER, then use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the running speed. The running

speed can be adjusted from “AU.00” (slowest speed) to “AU.99” (fastest speed).

Sound Active Mode: In this mode the LED Cloud will react to sound.

1. Plug the fixture in and press the MODE button until “SU.XX” is displayed. “XX” represents the cur-

rently selected sound senstivity level.

2. Press ENTER, then use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the sound sensitivity. The sensitivity

can be adjusted from “SU.01” (least sensitive) to “SU.99” (most sensitive).

DMX Mode: Operating through a DMX controller gives the user the freedom to create their own pro-

grams tailored to their own individual needs. The LED Cloud has 4 DMX channels. See the chart in

the DMX Traits section of this manual for the DMX traits and values.

1. This function will allow you to control each individual fixture’s traits with a standard DMX 512 con-

troller.

2. To run your fixture in DMX mode, press the MODE button until “AXXX” is displayed. “XXX” repre-

sents the currently selected DMX address. Press ENTER and use the UP or DOWN buttons to find

your desired DMX address.

3. After you have chosen your desired DMX address, plug in the fixture via the XLR connections to

any standard DMX controller.

Primary-Secondary Configuration:

1. Daisy chain your units together via the XLR connectors on the rear of the units. Use standard XLR

data cables to link your units together. Remember that the Male XLR connector is the input and

the Female XLR connector is the output. The first unit in the chain (primary) will use the female

XLR connector only, and the last unit in the chain will use the male XLR connector only.

2. Connect the first “Secondary” unit to the “Primary.”

3. Set the “Primary” unit to your desired mode of operation. On the “Secondary” unit, set the DMX

address to “001”. The “Secondary” unit will now follow the “Primary”.
