1-2. T h i s manual describes t h e Series 400 plug-in oscillators manufactured b y
Elgar Corporation f o r use with the Elgar Power Sources. T h e manual contains
installation, operation, maintenance instructions, circuit descriptions, circuit
diagrams, and parts lists.

1-4. T h e Elgar oscillators are contained i n a plug-in enclosure which can b e
inserted into the front panel opening o f an Elgar Power Source. T h e plug-in
enclosure contains a horizontally-mounted printed circuit board, and a t e r -
minal connector which mates with a similar connector i n the power source. T h e
0.1% model is provided with a f r o n t panel access hole f o r a screwdriver f r e -
quency adjustment. T h e oscillators are available in 50, 6 0 , and 1400 H z output
frequencies, o r any frequency from 45 t o 10 k H z on special o r d e r.
