GAS BOTTLE INSTALLATION
You will also need a propane bottle of at least 5 kg, as the smaller bottles cannot produce
sufficient gas flow.
The gas hose should be checked annually to ensure that it is in good condition.
It is recommended that it be replaced according to standard practice. When the appliance is
not used for long periods, disconnect the regulator from the gas bottle. The bottle must then
be stored in accordance with the recommended procedure. The hose must be positioned so
that it is not subjected to great strain or that it can be damaged.
The hose must not be buried underground, and there should be a good air flow around it.
The recommended frequency for checking the hose is at least once a month and each time
the gas bottle is changed. If the hose shows signs of cracks, splitting or other deterioration, it
must be replaced with a new hose of the same length and quality.
CONNECTION TO THE GAS WORKS
Your local gas technician / engineer will know how to install underground gas pipes. We recommend
that you position the outlet as close to the appliance as possible. There must be a main isolation
valve near the gas flow outlet, which must be easily accessible. The shut-off valve will be used to cut
off the gas supply to the appliance when it is not being used - OR in an emergency.

Failure to install the appliance properly can result in serious injury. Failure to comply with local
gas regulations may result in invalid home insurance and may also be illegal.
