BEFORE USE
Inspect the product for any signs of damage. If the product is
damaged, DO NOT use it, and contact your supplier immediately.

GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Domestic wiring must be tested periodically by a qualified electrician
at least once every 10 years or at every change of occupancy.
For office and retail premises, and buildings such as village halls, the
wiring must be inspected at least once every 5 years.
It is recommended that all building be fitted with smoke alarms (it is
mandatory for new buildings).
INSTALLATION
The L300B/BW must be installed by a competent electrician in
accordance with the current IEE Wiring Regulations.
Mains input.
Remove the two cover fixing screws, and hinge the
top cover downwards. Connect the L300B/BW to a lighting circuit
fused at 6 A. If being installed outdoors, use suitable cable such as
H07RNF (tough rubber sheath) with a minimum cross sectional
area of 1.0mm
2
. Pass the cable through the cable gland, and
connect to the terminal block.
•
Connect Live to the terminal labelled "L".
•
Connect Neutral to the terminal labelled "N".
•
Connect Earth to the terminal labelled with the earth symbol.
•
The L300B/BW must be earthed.
Tighten the cable gland to make sure that a good, waterproof seal is
obtained.
Inserting a lamp.
Use a 70 W RX7s metal halide lamp.
Holding the lamp with a cloth or piece of plastic to avoid touching
the glass, push the lamp against the spring of the lampholder. Push
