10. CARE AND CLEANING
WARNING!

Notes on cleaning:
• Clean the front of the appliance with a
soft cloth with warm water and a clean-
ing agent.
• To clean metal surfaces, use a usual
cleaning agent.
• Clean the appliance interior after each
use. Then you can remove dirt more
easily and it does not burn on.
• Clean stubborn dirt with a special oven
cleaner.
• Clean all accessories after each use
and let them dry. Use a soft cloth with
warm water and a cleaning agent.
• If you have nonstick accessories, do
not clean them using aggressive
agents, sharp-edged objects or a dish-
washer. It can cause damage to the
nonstick coating.
10.1 Catalytic cleaning
The walls with a catalytic coating are self-
cleaning. They absorb fat which collects
on the walls while the appliance operates.
To support the self-cleaning
procedure, heat the empty appliance
on a regular basis:
1. Remove the accessories from the ap-
pliance.
2. Set the Catalytic cleaning function.
Refer to "Oven functions".
The display shows
CATA and the du-
ration of the cleaning procedure (1
hour). You cannot set the duration,
but you can use the End function to
delay the start of the cleaning proce-
dure.
3. An acoustic signal sounds after the
time ends. The appliance deactivates.
4. Push a button or open the oven door
to stop the acoustic signal.
5. Clean the bottom of the appliance
with a soft and moist sponge.
WARNING!
Do not clean the catalytic surface
with oven sprays, abrasive clean-
ing agents, soaps or other clean-
ing agents. There is a risk of dam-
age to the catalytic surface.
Discolouration of the catalytic sur-
face has no effect on the catalytic
properties.
During catalytic cleaning the oven
light is on.
Cleaning reminder
As a reminder that catalytic cleaning is
necessary,
CATA flashes in the display
for 10 seconds after each activation and
deactivation of the appliance.
The cleaning reminder goes off
the display:
• After the end of the Catalytic
cleaning function.
• If you press
and at the
same time.
