OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

automatic heat up

You can get a necessary heat setting in a shorter time 
if you activate the Automatic Heat Up function. This 
function sets the highest heat setting for some time (see 
the graphic), and then decreases to the necessary heat 
setting. To start the Automatic Heat Up function for a 
cooking zone: 
1. Touch  (   comes on in the display). 
2.   Immediately touch the necessary heat setting. After 

3 seconds   comes on in the display. To stop the 
function change the heat setting.

Switching on and off the power function

The Power function makes more power available to the 
induction cooking zones. The Power function is activated 
for 5 minutes at most. After that the induction cooking 
zone automatically switches back to heat setting 

. To 

switch on, touch  ,   comes on. To switch off, touch a 
heat setting between   and 

.

Power management

The power management divides the power between two 
cooking zones in a pair (see the illustration). The power 
function increases the power to the maximum level for one 
cooking zone in the pair. The power in the second cooking 
zone automatically decreases. The heat setting display for 
the reduced zone changes between two levels.

Chef function

The Chef function activates all cooking zones and 
automatically activates the Bridge function for all of the 
zones. This function sets the same heat setting as the 
one you set the last time. For the first activation the heat 
setting of the left pair of zones is set to 

, the middle 

pair is set to   and the right pair is set to  .
To activate this function:
•   Touch  , and the indicator comes on. All cooking 

zones operate for 9 minutes. If the cooking zones 
stay empty, the symbol   comes on. After 
9 minutes an acoustic signal sounds and the empty 
cooking zones are set to . 

To resume this function:
•   Touch   to put or move cookware on the 

deactivated pair of cooking zones. To deactivate 
this function:

•   Touch   to deactivate the Chef function for the 

cooking zones you chose and keep the last heat 
setting of the cooking zones for this pair. The 
indicator goes off.

•   Set the heat setting to   or let the Count Down 

Timer deactivate the cooking zones. The indicator 
goes off.

 

ImPOrTanT!

When the Chef function is off, the pot detection time is 
2 minutes.

Count down timer

Use the Count Down Timer to set how long the cooking 
zone operates for only this operation.

ImPOrTanT!

The selection of the Timer function is possible for cooking 
zones that are active and after the heat setting is set.
•   To set the cooking zone: touch   again and again 

until the indicator of the necessary cooking zone 
comes on. 

 

When this function is activated,   comes on.

•   To activate the Count Down Timer: touch   of the 

timer to set the time (

00 - 99

 minutes). When the 

indicator of the cooking zone starts to flash slowly, 
the time counts down.

•   To see the remaining time: set the cooking zone 

with  . The indicator of the cooking zone starts to 
flash quickly. The display shows the remaining time. 

•   To change the Count Down Timer: set the cooking 

zone with   and touch   or   .

•   To deactivate the Count Down Time: set the 

cooking zone with   and touch . The remaining 
time counts down to 

00

. The indicator of the 

cooking zone goes out. 

When the timer countdown comes to an end, the sound 
operates and 

00

 flashes.

The cooking zone deactivates.
• To deactivate the sound: touch  .
