The appliance is switched
on but does not operate.
The display shows Power
Fail.
• Power supply is out of the operating range. The
wash cycle is temporarily interrupted and resumes
automatically once the power is restored.
The appliance switches off
during operation.
• Complete power outage. The wash cycle is tempora‐
rily interrupted and resumes automatically once the
power is restored.
The display shows Updat‐
ing. All buttons are inac‐
tive except for the on/off.
• The appliance downloads and installs the firmware
update automatically when it is available. The display
shows Updating for the duration of the updating
process. Wait for the process to be complete. If you
interrupt the update process by deactivating the ap‐
pliance, it resumes when you activate the appliance.
The firmware update does not change the appliance
performance declaration values.
Once you have checked the appliance,
deactivate and activate the appliance. If
the problem occurs again, contact an
Authorised Service Centre.
For alarm codes not described in the
table, contact an Authorised Service
Centre.
Before contacting an
Authorised Service Centre,
write down the PNC number.
Refer to "Basic settings".

Possible cause and solution
Poor washing results.
• Refer to "Daily use", "Hints and tips" and the
basket loading leaflet.
• Use more intensive washing programme.
• Activate the SprayZone option to wash items with
heavy or stubborn soil.
• Activate the ExtraPower option to improve the
washing results of a selected programme.
• Clean spray arm jets and filter. Refer to "Care and
Cleaning".
