Faults and Solutions

Customer Care

If your refrigerator presents any operating problems, check the possible causes and solutions.
IIf the corrections suggested are insufficient, contact the Technical Service.

Connect the plug into the outlet.
Correct the defect in the electrical outlet.
Remove the plug from the outlet for 10 
seconds and plug it again
Wait energy return, replace fuse or switch 
the circuit breaker on.
Install the voltage stabilizer (not less 1500 
VA).

Refrigerator plug is unplugged.
Outlet with bad contact.
Blackout or voltage oscillation.

Blackout, residence fuse burned or circuit 
breaker off.
Voltage in outlet too high or too low (in 
this case, the compressor will give several 
successive starts without working.

If the refrigerator 

does not work

Adjust it correctly, according to the item  
“Refrigerator Temperature Control”.
See “Installation - Choosing the site”.

Clear the air outlets.
Open it only the necessary time.
Remove the objects.
Make cleaning as instructed.

Inappropriate adjustment of the temperature 
control in the refrigerator compartment.
Incidence of direct sunlight or other heat 
sources close to the tefrigerator.
Airflow blocked. 
Too long open door time.
Cloth/objects on the condenser.
Dirty condenser.

If the refrigerator 

does not cool 

(poor cooling)

Adjust temperature control correctly 

Reposition the food.
Dry them before storing them.
Put the control to “maximum freezer”.

Inappropriate adjustment of the temperature 
control.
Food positioned near the air outlets.
Very moist foods.
Improper adjustment of the air flow control.

Frozen food in the 

refrigerator

Foods stored in freezer may not be in 
conditions to be consumed. Check all of 
them.
Respect the freezing capacity of your 
refrigerator.
Wait for freezer cooling.

Blackout.

Excessive loading of the freezer compartment. 

Refrigerator recently ON.

Foods are 

unfreezing in 

the freezer 

compartment

Position correctly the airflow control to 
“maximum freezer”.
Reposition foods.

Inappropriate adjustment of the airflow 
control in the freezer compartment.
Foods stored near air outlets.
