I.3 Glass display
Appliances with a depth of 800 mm or 900 mm are equipped
with a glass display.
Use the controls to show the relevant settings in the display.
1. On / Off
lights up when the appliance is switched on
2. Digital display
shows the temperature or heat setting
3. Heat On / Off
lights up until the operating temperature is reached
I.4 Steel display
Appliances with a depth of 850 mm are equipped with a steel
display and lamps.
• GREEN LAMP

I.5 Main switch (optional)
This appliance has a ventilation system that protects electronic
components from overheating.
In case of cutting off the main power supply, this ventilation
system can’t work, causing serious damage to the appliance.
CAUTION
After switching off the appliance, wait at
least 30 minutes before cutting off the
power with the main switch.
I.6 First use
Clean off any industrial protection grease from all parts of the
appliance and accessories before first use.
To properly perform basic cleaning, note and follow the
instructions in J
cleaning .
IMPORTANT
Models with Eco top coating: before first use, run all
cooking zones at maximum power for at least one
hour, without cookware, in order to harden the
coating.

CAUTION
If the temperature difference between one
zone and another exceeds 310
℃ [590 ℉ ],
the hottest zone automatically switches off
to avoid deformation of the plate.
For example, if setting one zone at the
minimum, it will not be possible to work
with another zone at the highest power
level.
I.8 Switching on-off
Switch on the appliance:
• Turn heating control clockwise.
• You can set the power levels from 1 to 8.
• An indicator above the control lights up until the selected
temperature is reached.

I.9 Stand-by mode
When preparing individual dishes, every so often there is a
short break in the cooking process. You can save energy by
turning control to .
In standby mode, the appliance stands at a preset default
temperature.
You can start the cooking process again in a few minutes.
