CD / VCD Basic Operation
Playback of a CD / VCD
1. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
2. While in the DVD mode (DVD button pressed first), press the OPEN/CLOSE button to open the disc
tray. “OPEN” will appear on the TV screen. Insert a disc with the label side facing up on the disc tray.
3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button to close the disc tray. “CLOSE” will appear on the TV screen. After
loading, playback will start automatically.
4. To stop playback, press the STOP button. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to resume playback. When
playing a CD, the unit will resume playback at the beginning of the track.
Selecting tracks / Files using the number buttons
Press the Number buttons corresponding to the track number you would like to play, and the unit will
playback the desired track automatically.
For a CD, enter a 3 digit number for the track number; i.e., to playback the second track, enter “002”.

Repeat One / All Play
• To Repeat play a track, simply select the track as described on the previous page, then press the
REPEAT button once; “ TRACK” will appear on the TV screen and the unit will repeat the selected
track continuously until the STOP button is pressed.
• To Repeat play all tracks on a CD, press the REPEAT button a second time; “ ALL” will appear on
the TV screen and unit will repeat the CD continuously until the STOP button is pressed.
• To cancel Repeat play, press the REPEAT button until “OFF” will appear on the TV screen.
Repeat A-B Play (VCD only)
• While playing back a VCD, this unit can repeatedly playback a specific section.
• While in the Playback mode, press the Repeat A-B button to define where you want the section to
start. Press the Repeat A-B button again to define where you would like the section to end, the unit
will then play the selected area continuously. Press the Repeat A-B button again to cancel Repeat
A-B mode.
Playback Control (PBC) (VCD only)
The Playback Control feature is available only on video CDs. Press PBC on the remote control to turn
the PBC feature on and off. The playback control feature supports the menus of the VCD format similar
to a DVD menu.
