Insect Destroyer
Operating instructions
Read carefully before use
Thank you for purchasing the ELECTRIS INSECT
DESTROYER.
We are confident that this device will give complete
satisfaction.
Warning:
Getting started:
Unpack the product. Once the insect destroyer is installed, connect the
power cord located at the back to a 230V power outlet and press the on/off
switch (I/0).
When switched on, the tubes emit a bluish ultraviolet light. Flying insects
are attracted to this light and touch the electric mesh. The contact of the
insect with the grid electrocutes it and can sometimes cause small sparks.
Similarly, sometimes, at the first power up, it is possible there is a risk of
electric arc at the tubes which will not reproduce there after.
Maintenance:
Before any intervention, disconnect the device
and leave it to cool for about 15 minutes.
Keep the device in a dry, ventilated, dust-free place.
Clean the dead insects off the wire mesh using
a small brush at least once a week.
In the lower part of the insect destroyer, a removable
container collects the insects.
This container must be emptied and cleaned at least once a week.
Changing the neon (tube):
Check that the device is disconnected. On the back of the unit, remove the
screws and open the two fasteners on each side of the top of the outer
mesh. Unlock the neons and replace them with new ones.
Close the mesh properly.
