Battery Tips
For optimum performance, use only the correct
size hearing aid batteries. See page 35 for
battery size recommendations.
To ensure longer battery life, each battery door
should be left open at the end of each day. This
prevents possible damage from the expansion
or leakage of the battery, as well as current
discharge if the instrument is not fully turned off.
Always carry spare batteries in the event your
battery goes dead. Each spare battery should
be placed in an individual nonmetallic container
to prevent contact with other batteries or metal
objects such as keys or coins.
Once the colored tab of a zinc air battery has
been removed, the battery is activated and
should be used immediately. Replacing the
tab will not prevent an activated battery from
discharging.
