Variable Wattage (VW) mode:
In VW mode the Pico can support a coil with a resistance range of between, 0.1ohm
– 3.5ohm but remember to set the wattage to suit the coil in your tank. Below is a rough guide for wattage settings
but you will find your own preference!
0.5 ohms coils - 40w to 60w
1 ohm - 15w to 20w
1.5 ohm - 10w to 15w
2.5 ohm - 5w to 10w
To adjust the wattage from 1w to 70w simply press the “up” or “down” button, keep the buttons suppressed to
scroll rapidly through the range.
Bypass mode:
Please note that this mode is ONLY to be used by experienced vapers
as it “bypasses” the main
safety features of the unit to enable more power to be delivered to the coil. In this mode the devise can support
coils with a resistance range of 0.1ohm to 3.5ohm and the direct output system is applied.
TC Mode:
The devise can support Nickel 200, Titanium and Stainless Steel 316 coils and operates within 100-315F or
200-600C. If you increase the temperature to 315C, keep pressing the up button the unit will automatically switch to
“F” and vis a versa.
If you try to use a coil with a resistance above 1.5ohm the devise will automatically switch back to VW mode.
Charging:
The battery power indicator on the screen of the iStick Pico will flash continuously when the remaining
power of the 18650 cell is less than 10%, it will flash during charging and go out when fully charged.
Safety features:
Atomiser Protection – If the fire button is pressed for more than 10 seconds the unit will shut down
and display “over 10’s”. Release the fire button and try again.
Atomiser Low Alert –
When the resistance of the coil is lower than 0.1ohm in VW/Bypass mode or lower than 0.05 in
TC mode the screen will display “Atomiser Low”
Low Voltage Protection –
When the volts of the cell falls below 3.1v the screen will first display “Battery Low” and
then “Lock”. Charge the cell to unlock the devise.
Temperature Protection –
In TC mode when the actual temperature of the coil reaches the set level the screen will
display “Temp Protection”. You can continue to use the devise.
For the expert vaper only –
Basically Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR) refers to the resistance in different coil wires and the effect
temperature has on them. To activate TCR turn the devise off and press the fire and up buttons simultaneously,
scroll through the three settings – M1, M2 or M3 and press the fire button to choose one. The resistance range in
this mode is 0.05ohm to 1.5ohm and below are the suggested setting for the different coil wires.
