5. Slide the second ring clamp onto the
column.
6. Insert the rod of the Viscometer head
through the hole in the mounting
bracket on the drive mechanism and
rotate the mounting bracket lever to lock
the Viscometer head in position.
7. Screw the weight onto the spindle
clamp/coupling.
8. Select the appropriate spindle (See “P
series spindles” on page 24) and insert
it into the spindle clamp/coupling. Twist
the body of the clamp to lock the spindle
in position.
9. Attach the spindle clamp/coupling to the
Viscometer motor drive coupling - See
“Fitting the spindle” on page 11.
10. Adjust the position of the two ring
clamps to give the desired amount of
vertical movement and clamp into
position.
The adaptor for helical movement is now
ready to use. Connect to the mains supply
and press the power on/off switch to switch it
on.
