Basic information:
The graphic card VGA-3000 is 32-bits card used for compatible computers PC/AT
with the PCI data bus. The card allows to use the VGA analogue monitor (that must be
capable of handling 82 Hz input signal at 640 × 480 resolution) and the STN LCD display.
The following modes are available: monitor, LCD display (default), or both. The graphic card
driver is responsible for switching modes in MS WindowsThere is an electronic imbedded
on the card, which is scanning and evaluating the stage of touch panel of LCD display.
VGA-3000 is used to connect TCD-3000D display.
The article includes the VGA-3000 drivers and touch panel. Elcom company is
not to be held responsible for the driver functionaliy; the driver functionality is a responsi-
bility of Asiliant company (http://www.asiliant.com/driver.htm).
Graphic card installing and usage
The graphic card components could be damaged or defective by static electricity.
Follow these instructions to install the card:
1. Store the graphic card in original antistatic package till installing process.
2. Connect your wrist to the earth using ground bracelet. Or discharge a static elec-
tricity by touching a metallic cover of an installed PC, which must to be connected
to a mains.
3. Hold graphic card carefully at the edges.
4. Insert the card to the free PCI slot on the PC mainboard and screw down.
5. Insert glassy (modular) connector of included cable into the port of touch panel
(modular 4-pin connector at the graphic card). Connect the second cable end to
the free connector of serial interface of RS232-COMx computer.
(Only in case of display with touch panel and card with included electronic for
touch panel scanning.)
Warnings:
Connect the monitor and the display only to computer that is switched off.
The graphic card is used to connect LCD to the computer.
The card is defaulted by producer for LCD displaying. Use correct installed driver for the
graphic card to provide displaying at the monitor or both (monitor and LCD).
