INSTALLATION AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR

STAND-ALONE PIR DETECTOR MODEL: “TMR TL-110”

We are delighted that you have purchased this PIR detector, please read these instruction before installation and retain

for future reference.

POSITIONING THE UNIT

When selecting the mounting position take into account the following points.
1.The sensor is designed for optimum performance when mounted 2.5 meters above ground level.
2.Avoid positioning close to trees or shrubs which may cause false triggering during wet, windy weather.
3.Avoid pointing at or positioning close to heat sources such as flu's or heat extraction units, which may cause false triggering.
4.Avoid pointing at bright lights as unit will not function when you set LUX control level to dark.
5. Avoid mounting at strong electromagnetic disturbance, which may cause false triggering.
6.The sensor is most sensitive to movement across the detection area as opposed to directly towards or away from the unit .Position the unit to point
across flow areas.

FITTING THE UNIT (see Diagram)

Before commencing any electrical work, ensure mains supply cables are isolated by switching off and removing the relevant fuse.
1.Remove the top plate using screwdriver, then fix the back mounting surface with mounting screws and raw plugs.
2.Loosen the gland screw and rubber, connecting the main power wire and load wire to the terminal block. Please note that the power wire and load
wire must pass through the gland and gland rubber.
3.Re-fix the terminal block to fitting place.
4.Re-screw the top plate.

OPERATION MODE AND ADJUSTING

1. ADJUSTING THE LUX CONTROL LEVEL:    The LUX control module has a built-in sensing device (photocell) that detects daylight and
darkness. Rotating the LUX knob clockwise is from dark to light. You can set to operate the unit at the desired level by adjusting the LUX knob.
Note: There should need 5 sec. to wait for the stability of photocell (CDS) when you adjust the LUX knob from daylight to darkness or opposite.
2. ADJUSTING THE DURATION TIME      The length of time that remains switched on after activation can be adjusted from 10±5sec. to
8±2min.. Rotating the TIME knob clockwise to decrease the duration time.
Note: Once the load has been triggered by the PIR detector any subsequent detection will start the timed period again the beginning.
