8. REGULAR TESTS AND MAINTENANCE
Check the system efficiency regularly using
Walk Test
menu available in USER INTERFACE section; during sys-
tem tests, sirens will be disabled; only the internal siren will beep slowly.
Make sure the recepients of test alarm messages do know the system is being tested.
When the test has been completed, reset the system standard operating status.
If necessary, contact the system installer and indicate problems occurred.
9. BEFORE CALLING EL.MO. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
WARNING:
to avoid injury wall mount the unit correctly and tightly following the instructions provided in this
manual. Do not let water drip or be sprayed on to the unit housing. Do not lay objects full of liquid
on the housing. Do not obstruct air grills.
MAINS SUPPLY
- The control unit does not switch on
- Check power unit terminals are powered with AC230V
- Check power fuses
- The control unit switches on but the display does not work properly (cannot be displayed)
- Reset the unit to factory default
- Check voltage at battery wires
PHONE LINE
- The control unit does not communicate with the selected number
- Use tester to verify the line at LA-LB terminals (~DC35 / 50V)
- Check that LA-LB and LA'-LB' terminals connection has not been reversed
- Use tester to verify voltage at LA-LB terminals (~DC6,5/7V)
RADIO (WIRELESS) SECTION
- The detector is self-learnt but, when installed, the signal is not received
- Before installing the detector, verify the real operating range
- The outdoor siren does not work when an alarm is triggered
- Check the siren is within the operating range of the control unit
- Check the siren has been activated in the siren menu of the unit
GENERALLY
- System anomaly LED (yellow) blinks.
- Check the reason by pushing the button. It is necessary to reset the memory by pushing
OK
button.
- "Battery discharged" message appears among anomaly events
- Check the 6V battery is properlyconnected
- When the control unit detects an alarm, the display switches off
- Check the battery and the recharging voltage (6,8V-7,2V)
