Height adjustable stand allowing to
rotate the monitor either to Landscape
mode or Portrait mode. Text editors,
programs intended for editing tables or
internet browsers arebetter utilized when
desplayed in the Landscape mode. The Portrait mode makes much
easier for everyone as it avoids excessive scrolling or it is useful
for those who like having the entire A4 format page displayed at
once.
SlimEdge - smart desing, which saves space
The modern LCD module with the slimmest edge makes up an
extremely compact device. The border along the display
measures a maximum of 18 mm. The power supply and input
connectors are integrated within the device.
Exceptional picture quality
First class picture quality and sharp text contours is achieved
thanks to its high resolution of 1900 x 1200 pixels, 1200:1
contrast ratio and maximum brightness of 350 cd/m². It doesn

matter whether you are sitting directly in front of the monitor or
look at it from an angle, or to which part of the screen you are
looking at - the evenness of colours and colour transitions at high
contrasts remain at the same high level even in the corners.
Auto EcoView
The EcoView sensor measures the ambient light and
anutomatically adjusts the monitor brightness. The brightness is
amplified when the illumination is bright and lowered when the
illumination is poor. Manual brightness regulation is also
possible. The minimum and maximum display brightness can be
configured at random. The EcoView index serves for orientation,
showing how the given configurations is considerate of the
environment. Auto EcoView can be activated with a press of a
button.
Overdrive
Pixel switching is markedly accelerated via the pre-calculated
overdrive, making it possible to achieve a response time of 6 ms.
A motion picture in fast video sequences, games and 3D-CAD
animations is painted at unprecedented speed lacking interfering
shadows.
Wide Gamut
The colour area of the S2242W monitor contains significantly
more colours than common LCD monitors. Pictures and graphics
seem more alive and distinct. The monitor displays very deep
colours, which are not otherwise visible. The S2232W will be
appreciated primarily by users who demand colour variety and
distinction.
Precise colout control
Colour reproduction is controlled by the internal 10bit LUT (Look-
Up-Table). This helps achieving a much more accurate grading
of colour information than with an 8bit LUT. Using the integrated
colour manager, the colour temperature may be adjusted from
4 000 - 10 000 K with 500K increments and the Gamma
correction from 1.8 to 2.2 with 0.2 increments. Additionally, the
colour saturation and intensity for the individual RGB colour
elements can be adjusted.
Fine Contrast
With the touch of one button, the preset brightness, colour
temperature and Gamma values enable achieving the optimal
setup for video (Movie), graphics and picture processing
(Picture), office applications (Text) and internet (sRGB).
Individual settings and also automatic switching can additionally
be used.
Digital and Analogue Inputs
One DVI-D and one DSub connector enable connecting two
computers simultaneously. All signals are automatically
synchronized. Switching is either automatic or manual.

ScreenManager Pro DDC
ScreenManager Pro is a perfect alternative to the OSD
menu. The signal cable is all that is required for
connection. A display mode can even be assigned to a
specific application, e.g. sRGB is activate upon starting
the internet browser.
Sound capability
Speakers and the headphone output are discreetly
integrated within the front side of the monitor.
