Both monitors employ a 16:10 aspect ratio as opposed to the 4:3
ratio of conventional screens. The increased horizontal space this
affords means you can keep tool palettes open without covering the
window you’re working on. You can also view two windows or two
applications with no overlap. And because the 16:10 aspect ratio is
almost the same as the 16:9 used by DVDs, you can enjoy movies with
minimal black borders at the top and bottom of the screen.
Fast Response Time
To ensure that movies and other moving images look clean and
sharp, with an absolute minimum of blurring and ghosting, both
monitors feature fast response time. An overdrive circuit smooths im-
age flow by adjusting the voltage input for each frame based on image
data from the three previous frames (more accurate than using only
one or two frames). Commonly used in LCD TVs, overdrive improves
midtone response time — the time required to transmit gray levels
— to 8 ms for both monitors.

hether you use your current monitor for work or
entertainment or both, you probably wish at times
that you had a little extra horizontal space. The FlexScan
S2410W and S2110W have 24.1" and 21.1" screens respec-
tively and a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing the widescreen view
you want for movies and games, as well as for 3-D CAD and
graphic design applications. With their fast response time, high
contrast ratio and outstanding brightness, they are truly high
performance monitors, delivering smooth, accurate and
natural reproduction of moving as well as still images.
Both models are designed to make operation easy and
efficient, with electrostatic touch switches on the front
panel and EIZO’s latest ArcSwing 2 stand for
easy, flexible positioning.
