A new scaling function incorporat-
ed into the L660's ASIC (Applica-
tion Specific Integrated Circuit)
allows resolutions lower than the
monitor's recommended resolu-
tion of 1280
×
1024 to be scaled
to an expanded mode to fill most
of the screen (4:3 horizontal-vertical
ratio) or to a full screen mode (5:4
ratio).
The L660 features a TFT active
matrix panel with support for reso-
lutions ranging from VGA 640
×
480 to SXGA 1280
×
1024. A fine
0.280 mm dot pitch delivers sharp
images across the entire screen.
The L660 complies with the most
stringent standards in the world
such as TCO'99 and TÜV Rhein-
land/Ergonomie Geprüft, and has
also obtained the CE Mark.

Smoothing Function
The L660 offers a way to improve
picture quality for both expanded
and full screen modes with a
smoothing function that includes
adjustment in five gradations to sof-
ten or sharpen the image.
Innovative Design
The L660's unique design allows
the panel to be removed from the
base and easily attached to an arm
with the incorporated VESA
mounting connector. The internal
power supply unit negates the
need to sacrifice desktop space to
accommodate a “power brick.”
Two input terminals allow for the
simultaneous connection of two com-
puters to the L660. Toggling between
the two is made simple by pressing
on a button located on the moni-
tor's front bezel.

for the L660 with the i

separately sold speaker unit. The

Sound attaches seamlessly to the
L660 and comes equipped with two
speakers at an amplifier output of
two watts per channel, two stereo
mini-jack cables, and a microphone,
all powered by the monitor.
