7. Intake line connection
Proceed with the connection of the intake line as
shown in Figure 4 /Item 1.
Make sure that the side of the double nipple with
the seal is screwed into the equipment (Fig.
4/Item 2)
In case of double nipples without a seal you must
apply Teflon tape as shown in Figure 5.
The intake line (hose or pipe) should have a
minimum diameter of approx. 25 mm/1”; a
diameter of approx. 32 mm/1/4” is recommended
for suction heights exceeding 5 m.
Connect the intake valve (foot valve) with intake
cage to the intake line.
Position the intake line so that it rises from the
water withdrawal point to the equipment. Avoid
positioning the intake line higher than the pump,
as this would delay the escape of air bubbles
from the intake line and impede the priming
process.
Install the intake and discharge lines in such a
way that they do not exert any mechanical
pressure on the equipment.
The intake valve should be low enough in the
water to ensure that if the water level falls, the
equipment will not run dry.
A leaking intake line will draw in air and therefore
not draw in any water.
Important.
Even the smallest leaks cause
problems with the intake and may damage the
pump.
Do not use hemp to seal off the intake line
connections.
8. Discharge line connection
Proceed with the connection of the discharge line
as shown in Figure 4 /Item 3.
The discharge line (min. 19 mm / 3/4”) must be
connected to the female thread discharge line
(approx. 33.3 mm (R1IG)) connector of the
equipment either directly or with the aid of a
threaded nipple.
You can also use a 13 mm (1/2”) discharge line
when using the relevant couplings. The pump
rate is reduced when using the smaller discharge
line.
During the priming process, the shut-off devices
present in the discharge line (spray nozzles,
valves etc.) must be completely open so that the
air in the intake line can escape freely.
9. Using the home waterworks
Install the equipment on a solid and level
surface.
Use the supplied wrench (13) to undo the coarse
filter screw (6). Remove the coarse filter (9) as
shown in Figure 2. Now you can fill the pump
housing with water via the opening (10). When
filling up the equipment the discharge line must
be removed for ventilation purposes.
Important.
If the equipment is permanently
installed, ensure means of ventilation in the
intake line.
Assemble in reverse order.
Open the discharge line.
Connect the power cable.
At the maximum suction height the suctioning
can take up to 5 minutes.
The equipment will shut down when the cut-out
pressure of 3 bar is reached.
After a loss of pressure due to water
consumption the equipment will cut in again
automatically (cut-in pressure approx. 1.5 bar).
The home waterworks also can be permanently
installed inside the house for use in the domestic
water supply. To minimize vibrations and noises,
the pump should be connected to the pipeline
network with flexible hose lines. In addition it is
recommended to place anti-vibration material, for
example a layer of rubber, between the pump
and the standing surface. Ensure that the vessel
is securely fastened with screws, that fit through
the bore holes in the foot of the equipment.
10. Replacing the power cable
If the power cable for this equipment is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-
sales service or similarly trained personnel to avoid
danger.
11. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts
The equipment almost completely maintenance free.
In order to ensure a long service life, however, we
recommend that you regularly check and care for the
product.
Important.
The equipment must be disconnected from the
power supply (pull the power plug) prior to
performing any maintenance.
