The speci
fi
ed vibration value was established in
accordance with a standardized testing method. It
may change according to how the electric equip-
ment is used and may exceed the speci
fi
ed value
in exceptional circumstances.
The speci
fi
ed vibration value can be used to
compare the equipment with other electric power
tools.
The speci
fi
ed vibration value can be used for initi-
al assessment of a harmful e
ff
ect.
Keep the noise emissions and vibrations to a
minimum.
•
Only use appliances which are in perfect wor-
king order.
•
Service and clean the appliance regularly.
•
Adapt your working style to suit the appliance.
•
Do not overload the appliance.
•
Have the appliance serviced whenever ne-
cessary.
•
Switch the appliance off when it is not in use.
Caution!
Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in
accordance with instructions, certain resi-
dual risks cannot be rules out. The following
hazards may arise in connection with the
equipment’s construction and layout:
1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust
mask is used.
2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protec-
tion is used.
5. Before starting the equipment
Warning!
Always remove the battery pack before making
adjustments to the equipment.
The equipment is supplied without batteries
and without a charger.
5.1 Assembly (Fig. 3-6)
•
Place the chain clamping mechanism in the
chuck (Fig. 3) and screw from underneath
using the star screw (Fig. 4)
•
Before starting the chain sharpener, fasten
it securely to a suitable surface (e.g. a work-
bench) at a suitable place (protected against
dust, dry, well-lit) using M8 fixing screws and
washers (Fig. 5)
•
Make sure when doing so that the mounting
plate of the chain sharpener is pushed onto
the surface as far as it will go (Fig. 6)
5.2 Charging the battery (Fig. 17-18)
1. Check that your mains voltage is the same as
that marked on the rating plate of the battery
charger. Insert the power plug of the charger
into the mains socket outlet. The green LED
will then begin to
fl
ash.
2. Insert the battery pack into the battery char-
ger.
