2. Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table so that the arm cuff is at the
same level as your heart.

3. Make sure your arm is supported on either top of a table or a chair.
4. The cuff around your arm must be at the same level as your heart. You may need to support your
arm with a cushion to be sure it is at the correct height.
5. Your arm should be relaxed.
6. Do not take your BP right after your exercise or even after a light walk.
7. Do not drink caffeine or smoke before taking your BP.
8. Do not drink soda or alcohol and eat before taking your BP.
Standard deviation and average deviation between blood pressure value measured by this system
and by traditional mercurial sphygmomanometer should not exceed 5mmHg.
Do not perform non-invasive blood pressure measurement on patient with sickle cell diseases, skin
injury or other expected injury.
Do not perform this measurement on patient with serious disturbances of blood coagulation.
7.2
Operational Procedures
STEP 1:
Connect the BP tubing to the terminal.
STEP 2:
Click “NIBP” (NIBP Interface)
STEP 3:
Wrap the BP cuff snugly (in a comfortable, warm, Make sure the cuff is applied with the
bottom edge one inch above the crease of the elbow. Secure the cuff using the fabric fastener.
Note:
When you take a measurement on the right arm, the air tube will be at the side of your
elbow. Be careful not to rest your arm on the air tube.
STEP 4:
Push the "start" button.
