Acquiring the bottleneck profile
To acquire the bottleneck profile, after having done steps 1 through 9 listed above,
initialize the software “PerfiLab Pro” and follow the steps listed below:
1. In the main window press the “Add New Test” button:
2. After naming the test and filling all the identification fields, save the test using
this button:
3. To collect diameter values at 0 degrees and if the PerfiLab is in its initial
position, press the acquisition button:
4. If the PerfiLab is not in its initial position (this information is displayed in the status bar)
and before taking step number 3, push the Initialize button to make the
PerfiLab go to its initial position:
5. If the purpose of the test is to collect values at 0 and 90 degrees, after the rotative
base is rotated 90 degrees, press the acquisition button again (step number 3) to start
the diameter reading at 90 degrees.
6. The acquired values are automatically stored in the Database.
If the test was interrupted, either by pressing the emergency button on the command box
frontal panel (in this case the system will beep intermittently) or by clicking on the Stop
button in the software, the user should press the Initialize button, to make the system go to
its initial position (step number 4).
Throughout the test, the collected diameter values are placed directly into the existing table and
it’s possible to view the bottleneck profile on the graphic, as shown in figure 18.
The profiles of the different bottles can be viewed by using the selection list placed on the
bottom of the profile drawing.
