Using the E-46A

Make sure that the power switch on the E-46A connector panel is in the ON (|) position.

Power on the printer.
The E-46A automatically starts up.

Check the activities on the Fiery QuickTouch display panel.
Allow startup to proceed without interruption. Do not press any buttons while the system is starting.

To shut down the E-46A, power off the printer.
Note:
Make sure that the E-46A is not receiving, processing, or printing any files. If the system has just finished
processing, wait at least five seconds after the system reaches Idle state before you power off the printer.

If you shut down the E-46A, move the power switch on the E-46A connector panel to the off (O) position for
maximum energy savings or service (wait 10 seconds before you proceed).
To start or shut down the E-46A when power synchronization is OFF

Make sure that the power synchronization in disabled (see

Power on the E-46A using the power button (
) on the side of the Fiery QuickTouch display panel.
Press once and release the button to power on the system. The power supply automatically senses the correct
voltage.
