Installation and Service Guide: Color Controller E-36A

Installing System Software

Click

Add

At the

EFI Sales Portal

window, enter your EFI Sales Portal account credentials to authenticate, and click

Proceed to

step

If you don’t have the account information for the EFI Sales Portal, click the

link and then register to

the EFI Sales Portal.

You can also click the

Fiery server

link, then log in to the E-36A using the following procedure:

At the

prompt, enter the name or IP address of the E-36A, and click

Enter

Username

and

Password

of the administrator, and click

Contact the site administrator for the administrator’s account information.

At the

Select a Brand

window, select

RICOH

and click

At the

Select a Product

window, select

Color Controller E-36A 1.0

Select a Build

window, select the latest build and click

Next.

At the

Summary

window, click

and

links to read the software license terms and

conditions.

Click the check box if you agree with the terms and conditions, and click

to start the download.

A status bar appears to show the progress. Wait until the download is complete.

When you finish downloading, exit the Fiery Installer Builder.

Prepare a USB flash drive

Using Fiery Installer Builder you can prepare a USB flash drive as a bootable device and then load the system software

files on to the USB flash drive. The approximate time required to prepare the USB flash drive is 25 to 30 minutes. Using

the prepared USB flash drive, you can install the system software to an existing HDD on the E-36A.

Note:

Due to Windows file system restriction, the maximum size of the USB flash drive you can use is 32GB. The

minimum size required is 16GB.

To prepare the USB flash drive

Attach the USB flash drive to an USB 3.0 port on your computer.

Start the Fiery Installer Builder.

Double-click the Fiery Installer Builder icon on the desktop or you can also click
