Fault finding
Symptom
The controller LEDs do not flash for 0.5 seconds when the system is set to on on page 90
The pump does not rotate after a parallel start command is sent on page 90
The pump does not rotate after a serial start command is sent on page 90
The pump does not respond in multi- drop mode on page 91
The green Normal LED does not light or the pump does not rotate at full speed or the pump fails while
in operation on page 91
Ultimate pressure cannot be reached on page 91
The pump is very noisy or there is excessive vibration or both on page 92
No serial comms on page 92
Fail signal or standby signal not working on page 93
Yellow service LED is flashing a repeated sequence on page 93
The red alarm LED is on on page 93
The red alarm LED is flashing on page 93
Other problems on page 93
Fault The controller LEDs do not flash for 0.5 seconds when the system is set to on
Cause The electrical supply has failed.
Remedy Make sure that the electrical supply is set to on and the fuses (and current limiting
devices) are not tripped.
Cause The pump rotor is rotating.
Remedy The LEDs can possibly not flash if the pump is in operation.
Fault The pump does not rotate after a parallel start command is sent
Cause Check that the electricity supply is on. Check if the fail output is active.
Remedy If there is a fail signal, check if the red alarm LED is flashing. If yes, refer to Flashing
error codes on page 94. If the power is supplied and fail signal is not given, but the
rotor does not rotate, the fault is in the pump.
Fault The pump does not rotate after a serial start command is sent
Cause Check if the pump returns a reply to the start command.
Remedy If there is no reply, do the checks given in No serial comms on page 92 or do the
checks given in The pump does not rotate after a parallel start command is sent on
page 90.
