Structure of the game
There are 12 instruction cards divided in 1 series of 6 and 2 series of 3. Each series has a certain level
of difficulty indicated by a coloured box. The first time the material is introduced, the beads and
instruction cards with a blue box are used. The instruction card is laid in front o the child with the
knot on the bottom. The teacher now asks the children to pace the right bead next to the
instruction card. Once they do this, the instruction card is placed in the card holder with the knot
down. Now the children can thread the beads on the bead stick. Then the red cards can become
offered and at last the yellow cards.
Note: For the correct beading sequence, make sure he children start at the knot when looking for
beads.
Once the children have an adequate command of the above, one can start threading beads on a
thread to simulate the pattern presented by the bead stick. Then one can proceed to thread beads
directly on a thread as shown on the instruction card. The instruction card is laid flat on the table
and the beads are thread on the stick or thread. The knot is placed to the left and one works form
left to right (reading direction). Lengthen the thread using the same pattern.
