Precautions Concerning
Connections and Initial Use

• To prevent malfunction and/or damage to speakers or other
devices, always turn down the volume, and turn off the power on
all devices before making any connections.

• Using a connection cable that contains a resistor can cause the
sound level to be low. Use a connection cable that does not
contain a resistor.

• Once the connections have been properly completed, be sure to
use the steps described below to turn on the STANDBY Switch.
Turning on STANDBY in the wrong order risks malfunction
and/or damage to speakers and other devices (reverse the
procedure when turning off the STANDBY Switch).

• This unit is equipped with a circuitry protection feature. A few
moments are required after the STANDBY Switch is turned on
before the unit is ready for normal operation.

• If you need to turn off the power completely, first turn off the
STANDBY Switch, then unplug the power cord from the power
