B85H3-M5 USER MANUAL

SATA3_1~4 connectors are used to support the Serial ATA 6.0Gb/s device, SATA3_5

connector is used to support the Serial ATA 3.0Gb/s device, simpler disk drive cabling

and easier PC assembly. It eliminates limitations of the current Parallel ATA inter-

face. But maintains register compatibility and software compatibility with Parallel

ATA.

3. COM: Onboard serial port header

Connect a serial port extension bracket to this header to add a serial port to your
system.
