Before First Use
•
There is a static cling label over the LCD display, please remove before use.
•
Your unit comes with 2 AAA batteries. Open battery door on the back of the unit. Remove protective film from
each battery. Insert the batteries with /- (polarity) orientation. Close battery door.
•
Clean the stainless steel probe with warm soapy water. Rinse with water and dry with clean cloth or towel.
•
The unit should
NOT
be submerged in water or put in a dishwasher.
•
Do not leave unit in oven or grill.
•
The best viewing angle is at, or above 90 degrees to the screen.
•
All selections are done using the 3 bottom touch keys. Dark frames around icons indicate selected items.
•
Read all instructions carefully.
Cooking Using Pre-Set Program
1.
Press power button to turn on unit.
2.
Once unit has powered on, press meat selection button to choose desired meat to be cooked.
3.
Select desired doneness.
4.
Insert probe, approximately 1”, into largest section of meat. Temperature reading will begin immediately.
5.
Target temperature will flash and Alarm will sound when target temperature is reached.
Cooking Using Manual Program
1.
Press power button to turn on unit.
2.
Once unit has powered on, press meat selection button until Manual Cooking has been selected.
3.
Use to decrease target temperature, press to increase target temperature. Pressing each button will
increase and decrease the target temperature in 1° increments. Holding down each button will decrease or
increase the target temperature more rapidly.
4.
Insert probe, approximately 1”, into largest section of meat. Temperature reading will begin immediately.
5.
Target temperature will flash and Alarm will sound when target temperature is reached.
